You can help CPA help others

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is devastating, affecting every aspect of a person's life. Each year in Canada, it becomes a painful reality for 1,000 more people. The Canadian Paraplegic Association (CPA) strives to be there for every one of them. You can help.

For over half a century and in every corner of Canada, CPA has assisted survivors of SCI to cope with the changes caused by their injury, regain independence and live, productive lives. CPA achieves these goals through counselling, by creating educational and employment opportunities, and by heightening awareness among Canadians of the challenges faced by people with SCI and the abilities they possess.

But CPA is more than a service agency - it is a circle of caring, committed people dedicated to helping others help themselves. We place great emphasis on the power of peer involvement - existing members encouraging people with new injuries as they meet the challenges of regaining control of their daily lives. Many of CPA's important programs are made possible through the generosity of people who have been touched by our work.

To reach all who are affected by SCI, we need your help - your financial assistance - on a large scale.
