| If You Can Cut It...Then You Can Cut It | | | The Disability Foundation invites musicians and composers with physical challenges to submit an original music recording for a compilation showcase CD. The CD, Accessible Allegro, will potentially provide national and international exposure for musicians and composers with disabilities. VAMS is committed to encouraging people with physical challenges to consider and develop careers in music, performance and media. Submissions will be juried by a diverse group including professionals from the Vancouver Adapted Music Society, Sam Feldman & Assoc., SOCAN, CBC and other media. Why is VAMS producing this project?- VAMS is committed to encouraging people with physical challenges to consider and develop careers in music, performance and media.
- To provide opportunities for national exposure to musicians with physical challenges utilizing both the compilation CD and musician bios/links on our website.
- To facilitate the development of a creative community with links to musicians possessing physical challenges.
- To inspire people possessing physical challenges to share their ideas, creativity and music.
Why should I get involved?- The VAMS compilation CD is an excellent opportunity for musicians to achieve broader exposure.
- Everyone submitting an original recording has the opportunity to have their bio/picture featured on the VAMS website allowing for increased exposure both to the public and the musical community.
- To become part of a national voice that recognizes and celebrates music, talent and creativity regardless of physical ability.
If you are a talented musician/songwriter with a physical challenge interested in sharing your original music with the world, visit www.disabilityfoundation.org/vams to learn more about this exciting project and download your submission package. | | | |
