2008-2009 Scholarship Winners Announced

The Canadian Paraplegic Association is pleased to announce the successful recipients of the 2008 Sun Life Peer Support Scholarships valued at $ 1,500 each.  The Awards Committee is very grateful to Sun Life Financial for supporting these two amazing students. 

Ms. Yasaman Mahboubi of Vancouver, British Columbia will receive a Sun Life Financial Peer Support Scholarship.  Ms. Mahboubi is attending the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia. To read Yasaman's profile, click here.

Ms. Gwen Baxter of Eckville, Alberta will receive a Sun Life Financial Peer Support Scholarship.  Ms. Baxter is attending the University of Alberta in Red Deer, Alberta. To read more about Gwen, click here.

The recipients of the Sun Life Peer Support Scholarship are extremely worthy individuals who are most deserving of an opportunity to receive assistance with  educational pursuits.  Sun Life Financial can be very proud of their investment in the Canadian Paraplegic Association’s Peer Support Scholarship Program.

 

The CPA also congratulates Brittany Williston, the recepient of the Copnick/Hilliard Scholarship valued at $500.00. This scholarship is provided from a Trust Fund established by contributions from the families of the late Morton Copnick and Craig Hilliard. To read more about Brittany, click here.
