| write up | | | IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE, IT WAS FUN AND PROVIDED AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET THE OTHER TEAMS FROM ACROSS CANADA...... Team BC were pushed hard by the rookie Saskatchewan side. Their skip, Del Huber, felt they could have won a famous victory had they taken their chances to turn ones into twos, but with three wins already, he can feel proud of his team's showing. That won't satisfy lead Marie Wright, however. She told me the day before the tournament that she wanted a podium place. She won't get one this year, but she hits well enough to have reasonable hopes of a medal before too long. THE SASKATCHEWAN TEAM MISSED THE SEMI FINALS........THEIR FINAL EFFORT WAS 4 WINS AND 5 LOSSES. A GREAT EFFORT FOR THEIR FIRST YEAR.......A SALUTE TO THE SASKATCHEWAN TEAM...... The Select Curling Team includes Del Huber, Darwin Bender, Calvin Bird, Gil Dash, Marie Wright and Coach Lorraine Arguin and assistant Dr. Bob Capp. Photos provided by Ken Jones | | |
