| | | Team Spirit was in the Regina Wheel Challenge for Everyone Event April 4th at the Kinesiology Centre The Figure eight racetrack and a new venue combined to bring out the best in all Teams! More challenging, more excitement and more fun in the 2009 event. The feeback is clear: the figure eight, with four teams on the floor at the same time while wheeling in opposite directions, made this year's Regina relay a great time for participants and spectators alike. The relay is an excellent way for friends, family or co-workers to have a fantastic time, while supporting Saskatchewan people with physical disabilities. Best Team Spirit and Costume Award was awarded to the “Wheelchair Warriors”, captained by Christine Selinger. The Highest Team Pledge went to Mintz & Wallace , a supporter of CPA for the past 10 years, which raised a total of $4,810 and was captained by Ramona Clarke. Highest Individual Pledge Award went to Del Huber with a total of$3,870. Second Highest Individual Pledge went to Shaun McKenzie with a total of $1,410, and the third Highest Individual Pledge went to Barb Peterson with a total of $1,170. The fastest team in the C Final Heat went to SaskTel, captained by Trevor McGugan, with a time of5 minutes and 37 seconds. The fastest team in the B Final Heat went to “Sailing Thru”, captained by Tom Webb, with a time of 5 minutes and 29 seconds. The top winning team in the A Final Heat was“MediChair”, captained by Jenny Billett, with a time of 4 minutes and 20 seconds.A quick game of “Hands-up Bingo” was played with the top prize going to Paige Racette and second prize to Caleb Duncan. Volunteer Draws were won by Ian Haynes, Bob Hood, Whitley, Terri Navid and Erwin Heinek.
