The Wheel Speeds in the Saskatoon Wheelchair Relay should be up on Saturday September 26th! The Figure eight racetrack and the venue is combined to bring out the best in all Teams! We are expecting more challenges, more excitement and fun as always in the 2009 event Saturday September 26th at the SaskTel Sports Centre - 150 Nelson Road. The feeback is clear: the figure eight, with four teams on the floor at the same time while wheeling in opposite directions, is still in this year. The relay is an excellent way for friends, family or co-workers to have a fantastic time, while supporting Saskatchewan people with physical disabilities. Mayor, Don Atchison, has been invited back to provide the official start at this the 10th Wheelchair Relay and to participate in the kick-off race on Saturday, September 26th, 2009 at the SaskTel Sports Centre in Saskatoon.
The 10th Annual Wheel Challenge for Everyone is a day of fun, cheering and to support CPA Saskatchewan. The figure 8 track format challenges all participants in the turns, stops and to avoid any chances for collisions. All teams will be included in the heats with similar timed teams to continue and gain experience in manoeuvring the wheelchairs.
Again there will be prizes for the individuals turning in the highest pledges, theBest Costume and Team Spirit, as well as the Fastest Team and the Slowest Team.
