| Sun Life Peer Support Scholarship Winner | | | The Canadian Paraplegic Association is pleased to announce the successful recipient of the Sun Life Peer Support Scholarship valued at $ 1,500. The Awards Committee is very grateful to Sun Life Financial for supporting this student and we are delighted to provide a brief overview of the recipient. Adrienne Walpert (Waterloo, Ontario) - In February 2004, Adrienne was involved an accident that injured her spinal cord which has left her a paraplegic. She now relies on a manual wheelchair. In June 2005, she completed her grade 12 at West Toronto Collegiate and then she her sights on a degree in Political Science at the University of Waterloo. Adrienne is presently in her second year and wishes to obtain a Masters in Business in order to become an international businesswoman. Adrienne is very personable and well like by everyone. She spends some evenings at Lynhurst to meet and reassure some students that wish to pursue a university degree. We wish Adrienne all the best in her studies and wish her well in her future endeavors. The recipient of the Sun Life Peer Support Scholarship is an extremely worthy person who is most deserving of an opportunity to receive assistance with her educational pursuits.
